- Is it worth it?
Is it worth it?
“The question of ‘is it worth it?’ is reliant on an outcome. We don’t make things for an outcome… the outcome happens when you’re making the best thing you can make. It’s a devotional practice.” - Rick Ruben
I often battle how people will judge what I do and if what I’m doing is worth putting in the time. This is my most debilitating inner voice I battle. This battle has been going on since I was a kid.
I used to try to understand it and ask where it comes from. But that self talk only leads to excuses.
All that matters is, I am me, here and now. The only thing is “the doing.” The only question is can I give more?
It seems many of you agree on the answer to that question being Misogi.
There is an overwhelming amount of emails that I haven’t been able to keep up with. I didn’t expect it and I’m beyond grateful. The theme is you want to spend more time on Misogi’s, self coaching your mind, and how to avoid injury or rehab to keep pushing yourself physically.
These 3 really go together perfectly.
Misogi - There are dozens of savage ass animals in this community. Guys that have run 100+ miles, climbed mountains, and have consistent daily discipline people dream of. I realize it’s time to connect everyone directly.
Self Coaching - This is the true meaning of “mindset.” True mentors and leaders help you cultivate the consistency to coach yourself when nobody is there but you and the voice inside your head.
Pain Relief - Injuries have personally put me through the most depression and mental stress. When I can’t physically do the things I need to do, I am a mental mess. I used drugs and alcohol to give me a rush instead. Fortunately, I stopped and became a licensed health professional focusing on sports medicine for pain and injuries. I will share every detail know on how to keep your body going.
Based off of great email’s I’ve gotten from many of you, I will keep the theme of building something special through your insight.
Even though my real estate business is time consuming in the early stages, I’m going to increase the volume of quality given to you with Discomfort Club.
We’ll start with Misogi and get into the most valuable topic you all choose.
What is the most challenging part of Misogi for you? |
Give More.

PS. I was told to watch this 30 min Billy Yang documentary on running 100 miles. I hope you enjoy as well. The Why.
